This afghan is perfect gift for any occasions- Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Wedding Day and others.

I used crochet hook in size H (5.00 mm) and 1 whole skein of Red Heart Super Saver (7 oz) in each color for 6 hearts across. I tried my best to keep the pattern simple and easy to follow by color coding. Texts in blue are instructions for the first heart and the texts in red are instructions for the next one.

**Yes, you can use any size of crochet hook, use any yarn brand, type and ply but keep in mind yours will have different size as mine.

Lesson 11: How To Triple Crochet Stitch

How to Triple Crochet Stitch or Treble Crochet Stitch

The triple or treble crochet (trc) stitch is the tallest of the basic crochet stitches. This does not mean you cannot make a taller or longer stitch than this, but out of all the basic stitches this is the longest.

Lesson 10: How To Half Double Crochet Stitch

How To Half Double Crochet

In this lesson, Bobbie will show you how to do the half double crochet (hdc). The half double crochet is different than double crochet (dc) because the height of the stitch lands between the double crochet (dc) and single crochet (sc). Another difference is that you will draw through all three loops on your hook instead of only two at a time.

Lesson 9: How To Double Crochet Stitch

How To Double Crochet

The double crochet stitch is the second most popular stitch. This tutorial Bobbie will explain where to place the first double crochet stitch in foundation chain. This is helpful and good to know because if the placement is not correct, the project will not form correctly or the stitches count will not be accurate.

Lesson 8: How To Weave In Loose Yarn Ends

How to weave in loose yarn ends

In this lesson, Bobbie will show you how to sew or weave in loose yarn ends and make your finished crochet project look spectacular!

When weaving a yarn needle make sure to weave in and out of your crochet project. It is always wise to sew back and forth through the same stitch so that it locks the tail end of yarn into place and keeps the little ends from unraveling.

Lesson 7: How To Change Yarn Color In Crochet

Correct Way To Change Yarn Color In Crochet

Learn the correct way to change color in crochet. When changing color at the beginning or end of a row you never want to complete the last stitch. Instead, you want to work the last stitch to where there are only two loops left  your crochet hook.

In this lesson, Bobbie will show you how to change yarn color by demonstrating the single crochet stitch however the guidelines are the same for any crochet stitch that you will use.

Finishing your crochet project is very simple, in fact all you have to do is pull the end of yarn through the last loop on your crochet hook and then pull it tight.

Lesson 6: Single Crochet Stitch

Single Crochet Stitch

Learn how to single crochet stitch. The single crochet (sc) is the most common used and easiest to learn.
